The GISD School Board meeting held on November 18th was a night of celebrations. Gunter Middle School principal, Sarah Claunch, presented two outstanding students to the board members for the Superintendent's Honor Roll. Congratulations to Bo Martin and Georgia Voto for being selected to receive this distinguished award!
Georgia Voto, 5th grader, puts a ton of effort into her work at school. Not only does she make sure to complete her own work, she is very helpful to her classmates. She has a sweet, quiet spirit who brings a sense of calm to all situations. She is friendly to those in her class and has a passion for learning. The fact that she leads by example and shows exactly what great character looks like is the reason she was chosen for this honor.
Bo Martin, 7th grader, has so many incredible qualities. His friends describe him as hardworking, kind and loyal. Bo is a friend to all and is always ready with a kind word to whoever might need to hear one. His diligence in the classroom does not go unnoticed as he always gives 100% to every assignment. Bo shows respect, he leads in a quiet manner that makes a daily impact on everyone around him. Bo's humbleness, hard working attitude, and kindness are exactly the characteristics we look for when awarding this honor.
