We are thrilled to welcome Amy Eckstein as the newest member of our Kindergarten team! With nearly two decades of experience and a heart for early learners, Amy is a fantastic addition to GES.

Here’s a little more about her in her own words:

“My name is Amy Eckstein, and I couldn’t be more excited to join the team at Gunter Elementary. Teaching truly is my calling, and I feel so grateful to continue that journey in a community that values kids, connection, and character the way Gunter does.

Next year will be my 17th year in education, with most of that time spent in kindergarten. There’s just something magical about those early years. Watching little ones grow, explore, and fall in love with learning is the best part of what I do. I’ve been lucky to lead some really special classrooms over the years, and I can already tell this one will be extra special.

I’m married to my high school sweetheart, and together we’ve raised three wonderful kids who are now grown and off chasing their own dreams. Our hearts are extra full this year because we recently became grandparents for the first time, and it has been such a sweet new chapter for our family.

When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll usually find me outside with family, catching a game, or planning our next trip to visit loved ones. Faith, family, and fun keep me going, and I’m excited to bring that same energy to my new school home.

I’m really looking forward to a great year ahead, getting to know the amazing students, working alongside this dedicated staff, and being part of all the things that make Gunter Elementary such a special place.”

We’re so lucky to have you, Amy — welcome to the GES family!
