Gunter ISD would like to welcome Mandy Biros to the Tiger Family. She attended the University of Texas at Dallas and earned her Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master's degree in Counseling. Mandy will be working on the high school campus as a counselor. She has 20 years in education with the last 14 serving in the school counseling role in McKinney ISD.
Mrs. Biros was a CREST award winner the last three years. Counselors Reinforcing Excellence for Students in Texas (CREST) is sponsored by the Texas School Counselor Association (TSCA) and awarded to school counseling programs that meet CREST requirements. CREST is a continuous improvement document that school counseling programs can use to demonstrate effective communication and a commitment to obtaining results.
She is not a stranger to Gunter ISD, many of you may already know her. She and her husband, Jeff, are the proud parents to two Gunter Tigers, Bryce who will be a senior and Harper who will be in the 6th grade. Bryce is on the varsity football team and looks forward to every Friday night, giving the boys high fives and rolling through the tunnel! Harper is a club volleyball player and loves all things Gunter!
When asked about moving over to Gunter ISD as an employee, Mandy said, "I am so excited and privileged to be able to serve Gunter High School as your school counselor. We have lived in Gunter for 8 years and LOVE this community wholeheartedly!"
